I’m Michaela of Ristaino Photography, and my passion is capturing moments in the most inherently joyful, authentic and whimsical way. This is my style. It makes my heart SING!

Literally. I am a singer, so when I’m able to capture you at your most authentic, I sing with joy.

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I’ve found my way to Sarasota by way of San Francisco and the east coast. A lifelong performer, I am giddy and excited to be singing with Sarasota’s own Professional Vocal Ensemble Gloria Musicae. The singer in me is what led me to be so passionate about photographing other performers; creating visually stunning, authentic headshots that showcase their true personalities. And what creates that authenticity? Connection. Because of this, I’m just as passionate about capturing that connection in family photos and senior portraits.

CONNECTION is also why I am so honored and proud to have been featured in not one, but FIVE Beauty Revived Magazines. Beauty Revived is all about giving back and celebrating real beauty. This makes my heart burst with joy. Through my Beauty Revived journey, I made a very special connection with a lovely little lady named Lola. #OperationLoveLola was born, and she has blessed me in ways I never could have dreamed. When I’m not photographing others, you can find me surrounded by the love of my crazy-wonderful family. I come from an insanely talented family of singers, authors, photographers, and jewelry makers. I am a lover of all things creative (just pretty please never ask me to do math). My husband Tony is my biggest fan, closest confidant and hands down the best Italian chef I’ve ever known. Our house truly becomes a home when cooking for friends and family while the sounds of Frank Sinatra and laughter fill the air. There will likely be wine. And more laughter.
